6 inch bully dog exhaust?????
has anyone ran the 6 inch bully dog kit? How does it do, How much power does it make. would it be better than my 4 inch with a flowpro? or is it just way to big?

you would need to be putting down some huge numbers to justify 6"
also there might need to be more modifications than just bolting it up. i have a 5" and it is perfect. 6" is just rediculous IMO
member creed had it on his old reg cab but he has since sold that

I have a 5" Bully Dog and love it. Sounds amazing. Has a little drone. A buddy of mine has a 6" Bully Dog setup and its rediculoulsy loud and has alot of drone at highway speeds.

I read in an article on performance exhaust systems that generally these sizes are good for up to these hp levels
3"------350hp
3.5"----450hp
4"------550hp
5"------850hp
I want a 5" for the way it looks but probably will never "need" one from a performance standpoint but those are two very different things.

ive seen prices of around 800 for 6" exhaust. you can buy a nice 5" kit for 400 or around in there. im gonna have to say its not worth the money. buy 5" if you want a deep tone. the drone of 5" with a big charger in the truck is ungodly with no muffler-trust me

If you want 5", be sure and look on eBay for it. Thats where I got mine for $340 shipped. I believe I bought it from a dealer on there called citymuffler. But if I remember right I think you may even be able to get it cheaper than that. I love my 5". Yes its loud, but IMO it sounds way better than the factory 4". Also be sure and get a bigger tip, believe it or not it does make a little difference in sound(deeper).

Yeah the 5" Straight Pipe was ungodly. The muffler actually didnt seem to quiet it down much. It took some of the drone away. There are so many hills here I couldnt keep it quiet and it attracted way to much attention. I dont think I met one officer who wasnt staring at me when I even idled by just trying to keep it quiet. Putting the cat back in made it drivable. I'll find out how I like it in less then a week when I head back east.

just my 2cents but when I bought my truck I made it 4" str8 no muff or cat. It was so loud outside the truck that people would flip me off if I passed them up. And the cops didnt like it either. so I went with a flo pro 5" and it is quieter. no more one finger salutes or cops or anything. I think it sounds perfect. not loud in the truck or out unless you really get on it and then it livens up a little... hahaha

Yeah my 5" Straight with no cat was anoyyingly loud. I swear you couldnt take that thing anywhere above a idle without settting off all the car alarms. During the day it wasnt as bad the officers would have to turn around in downtown traffic ( not a chance
) there was a few that started to try and turn around so I turned and hauled ***** home and put it back in the garage but finally one got smart and knew exactly where I was going. If I had to buy another exhaust I would go with the 5" Magnaflow. I think it sounds pretty good. Its not really loud but has a pretty aggressive tone to it.
