Quad is doing all he can he was trying to get the last of the vp adrenaline stuff lined out then coming back hard on the cr side of things and the x2, this is what justin told me last week as they are also working on trying to get the commander to read serial data like the recon type x2 guage does instead of reading analog data, but x2 will be first.
P.S. the Boost Fooling tunes have worked in my truck for awhile now even the old original tunes did, 40+ psi with no dtc's.

The Boost Fooler doesn't work on my truck. I e-mailed the other day about the warmup mode and was told soon.

I know quad is busy, but man......feels like he dropped off the face of the earth! C'mon quad! In the last 3 weeks - 1 pm here @ DTR . 2 emails to you @ quadzillapower, and 2 calls to Jeremy. I'm starting to second guess the "great customer service" that I have come to know and love!

I have to agree to some extent. One of the reasons I deal with Quadzilla is the ability to talk with them over this forum and through their normal channels. I have had good service from them so far. My only problem is when there are statements made that do not happen and we do not get some kind of a status. I have the Max Mileage Module and Quad said they could have a new software load as soon as Monday a week and a half ago. Since then no more post. What happened! Even if the load fell flat on it's face and will not happen please just give us the status bad or good.

I have the X2 XZT and loaded the 12 07 2007 date code 325 XZT factory tune file yesterday. Been using the Oct 6 2007 325 MPG tune up until then with the Boost fooler. I did 2 WOT trials on the hwy yesterday at different times with the 325 XZT tune and could only hit 31-33psi max.

I have no commander or anything. just the X2 and cable.

I agree things have been aweful silent from Quad on here lately.

Glad someone is saying what I have been thinking..

We have a product that is not working as advertised. If Someone is working harder to get another product up (adrenaline) instead of fixing what to some is a large deal on a product that is already out that is just not right.

Get the stuff that is already out fixed first.

I did a lot of research on peoples opinions of customer service before money was spent and this is a first for this from Quadzilla.

I am upset too. I am more upset with the fuel pressure sending units. He has had several months to figure that one out.

But this is Christmas and I will not do anymore complaining until the New Year.

Just for referance the 20071207 factory file did and didn't work a 100%. I did gain boost fooling on pl1,2,3 but not on pl4. I did try mpg file again and went back to no BF so went back. Anyway RP is good and egts are good until pl4 then the peg gauge before I hit 50mph but does have some gitty up.
This is my case.

From what they have been telling me, it just takes time for the fuel pressure sending units to fail. They tested one for 3 months and its fine -then wham! - goes bad. It takes time to find a part that wont fail, when it takes 3-10k miles for a failure to show up.

i just installed a quad x2 on my 04 305/555 and i'm seeing a max boost of 30.6psi on all levels. This is with the program that shipped with my x2. My BD X-monitor shows the max egt reached as 2200 degrees (this must be wrong), but the egts in general are way hotter than stock. My truck has an AFE intake and a 4" magnaflow exhaust.

Other than these issues the box works great. Pulls HARD all the way to 3500, if you let it, where it used to fall on its face past 2500 before.

Would updating the box with a program off the website help?

some guys are saying dont use the download page,it depends on how you drive i guess,if your driving at 40 psi all the time i guess bosst fooling is important.not sure if the boost issues are on the 305/555,i have one too and i would like to know,i have downloaded the presure only stacker and i can see 37 psi{then it flashes, dont know why}.its xmas so im sure quad has a family and is busy with the holidays,i know i am,boost fooling is the least of my concerns, plowing my driveway after this dump of snow is though hahahahaha.

hey vz, I work in the electronics industry and there is a thing called accelerated life testing that many manufacturers do to find out this very thing. Stanadyne did it with CP3's and fuel pumps to see what the insides looked like and compare failed units that had no additive to ones that used the stanadyne.

I don't know how big or the budget at Quadzilla but there are ways to validate both SW and HW of products before market delivery.

I dunno exactly what they do to test it. Just last time I called they said they thought they had a good replacement sender but after 2 months or so it puked as well.

Do you guys think that quad would give a refund ? Mine has never worked since I recieved it on october 15th. It falls outside thier 30 day return on electronics, yet with the known programming issues that have not been addressed I want out.

I ask here due to holiday weekend/ week. And the 25th is the last day for the price break on the smarty Jr.

Thanks.
