4WD Conversion

I imagine this subject has been hashed out somewhere on here before, but I am going to ask it again.

I have become disappointed in my truck (actually myself for the purchase) because I bought a 2WD (I know, dumb, my friends remind me all the time). So I was wondering what possibilities are there to convert it to 4WD or would I save alot of headache by just getting a new truck?

I really do like the year model that I have and am satisfied with the performance except for the 2WD.

Any thoughts on this subject?

Put a Dana 60 and NP 205 transfer case if you can find the setup in good shape. You will have to manufacture all of your own mounts and have the drive shafts made for it. Also need to make sure that the final output for your tranny matches what your transfer case and rearend are set up for. Come to think of it, probably cheaper to trade the thing in for a 4X4!

Well on your 06 you have a A arm suspension, so it would involve grinding, plasma cutting, welding, more grinding, and some more grinding.... Probably not worth it, sell it and buy a 4wd.

I owned a 2wd years ago, and it was my last. 4x4 ever since! It always comes in handy and I'm always glad I have it.
