I had my Tranny replaced last Oct. and have not used the 4 wheel drive until yesterday morning, problem is, it is grinding like it is not quite going into 4 wheel drive the front end tries to pull put it slips and grinds. Do I have front end problem or do I need to talk to my trans guy? Did he not get something adjusted right or what? Thanks for the help in advance guys.

Were you on dirt or pavement? If you were on pavement then it was probably binding.

I was on concrete had about a 4' snow drift behind me. Trying to get out of the garage and it was like the 4 wheel drive would not ingauge and there was a grinding noise.

Yeah it does sound like it wasn't engaging then. Did it do it in lo and hi, forward and reverse? Do you have the manual shift or the **** on the dash?

Tried both 4hi and 4low forward and reverse, and yes I have the manual shift lever in the floor. Do you think something is just not going into gear from when they replaced the tranny, like something is out of adjustment.
