Hey, where is everyone getting their EGT gauges? Or better yet - who makes a good one? Can you go wrong with any of them? I was looking at Geno's, but didn't know which ones to consider. I was thinking of the Ultra Lite series from Autometer. Is this a good one?
When you order these things, do they come with everything you need to set it up? I was going to use the SRT 10 pillar, but there wouldn't be anything else I would need to install the gauge, would there?

Have mine on level 4 and have no problems. My pyrameter is Post Turbo, because the bone head at the shop I took it to put it there. Anyway, don't really tow anything but mine has never gone higher than 700'. So I guess that would be about 950-1000 pre turbo temp.......

Post Turbo / Pre Turbo - isn't post turbo safer? It's just not as accurate, right?

Dodgezilla, my box isn't all that old. They took out level6, but level5 is still usable. The jumper settings just aren't in the manual.

For level5 set the jumpers like this ::: X:: and put the other jumper in the spare or in your pocket.

Geno's is a great choice. I got the SRT-10 single pillar with the Autometer Phantom guage. All parts will come with the guage. The single pillar is a Dodge piece and matches perfectly. The Phantom guage is white and matches factory guages during the day, but remains white at night. When you are ready to install, search for help here. You will have to drill and tap your manifold for the probe. Wiring is fairly straightforward. Mike

Chrismez, same thing happened to me, I assumed the guy would install the probe pre-turbo but installed it post. Is your probe in the down pipe or the elbow off the turbo. Mines in the elbow and in sixth gear I see 1000* pretty quick. Heck, I see 800* daily just driving empty uphill doing the speed limit.

Mine was installed post turbo, until I pitched a fit. I looked under the hood before I left the shop and couldn't believe it. Now I'm kind of wondering, as the hole is already there, how I could get my pyro gauge set up to check both?

I'm glad to hear about the elbow, but I was thinking it would make a bigger difference than 100 degrees. I guess I'll have to put it in for some self testing.

For a while I was thinking of putting another pyro in the manifold and running that one to my pillar gauge, then run the post to a gauge in the space under the A/C controls for shut down, rather not spend another $150+ on another gauge and probe though.
