4" & 6" lift
4" & 6" lift
Hey guys, I've been brousing though this forum and few others for a while and have been doing alot of reading about what people are doing for a lift. 2" leveling kit, w/wo rear spacers, 4" & 6" lifts etc.. For a Dodge, what is the best 4" & 6" lift? Do they make a lift for the Dodge to where the truck can be put back stock? Which lift is the easiest to install? I want the best lift for the money with that being said money is not much of a issue but I don't have to have the asbolute best name I just want a good quailty lift to run 35" to 37" on AFTERMARKET wheels.
I'm still not sure whether I'm buying a new Dodge or a new Duramax. I'm real familiar with Duramax lifts and etc. just not the Dodges. Any info. will be appreciated.
Thanks

I have a Tough Country lift with Donahoe Racing shocks it cost me 1600 installed the right way. I talking everything welded. Now I usually will never admit I have a tough country lift but in opinion is It works great, anything after that you are goin for looks. If you go 6'' though you probably need a long arm kit. My lift is 4'' now I have added some traction bars and airride. My truck rides really good.

I have the BDS suspension lift. Make sure you check the steering box for possible leakage and the tie rod ends. After installing I found that the box was leaking and now DC will not warr. it. I am in the process of taking it all off and then taking to the dealership. I paid 5K for the whole set-up wheels and the tires as well all installed. Just my op. Jamie
Sorry to hi-jack the thread, but lift kits that use AAL's for lifting the rear, how well do the hold up? 1/2 tons they seem to do alright, but on 3/4 and 1 tons that haul, do they start sagging after a short period? One little leaf pushing up on the rest of the leaf pack and holding up the whole rear end of the truck worries me a little. Seems like it would start sagging after little use IMO, anyone have any input?
The whole lift, tires and rims cost $4000. It was done at Les Schwab. The lift is a superlift. I don't have any complains about it at all. Some people bash the cheaper lifts but I haven't noticed anything wrong. I will probably upgrade to some higher end shocks later this year.

Miledge
I honestly haven't been able to check the miledge. I purchase fuel once a month because I have a 500 gallon tank at my house. But I did check it just before I got the tank and I was any where between 15-17 and when I tow my trailer I get a constant 12.
