4.5" Tuff country lift
4.5" Tuff country lift
Ok My girlfriends truck is a 06 3/4ton 4x4 4door long bed with 3" spacers already. She has 18's with 35's and there is a 4.5" tuff country lift in the classifieds and we were wanting to know how good a lift is tuff country? Also how much of a difference will we be able to see or how much bigger tire could we fit? Were just wanting to find out if it would be worth it so whats yalls opinion? Thanks,
Kevin

If it is complete they aren't bad lifts, have a buddy runnin one and he likes it.
As far as the tires, it is more dependent on the offset of the wheels, my 37's needed me to trim the bumper just a touch with my 6" but have seen 37's clear with a 4" system

I have 4 inches of lift with 35"s 4.5 backspacing on the rims, had to trim the front bumper and inner fender. I also have the tuff country shocks on right now, I have bilstien 5100 ordered, not real happy with the shocks.
I had the 4.5" Tuff country lift on my truck for about 7 months. There was nothing negative about it, it did it's job pretty well. My only thing with it was that I should have went with a 6" lift right off the bat (but that is only personal preferance). I ended up buying longer control arms, installing 2.25" spacers in the front and adding a leaf in the back.
If you are looking for a 4.5" lift, can't beat Tuff Country for the price.

I have the 4.5 inch tuff country on right now. It is OK, probably what I would classify as an economy lift. I have 35s with 18s on my truck and think it looks like it has the proper "look". While I think you can get 37s in there with some mod, I think they fill up the wheel well too much, but that is preference. If I had it to do again, I would be running a 6 inch lift with 37s. My only concern with the 6 inch was driveline vibs, but most that have the 6 inch have had goos luck. Just out of curiosity what are they asking price wise for the lift? I think the price for the 4.5 is about $750-800 new, the 6 inch is about $100-150 more.
