4.5" Tuff Country Lift Kit Installed!

Thought you guys might take a look and let me know how it looks. Pics in my gallery.
I have a bit of a wobble at 60mph and up. I wonder if I drove too long without getting an alignment and messed up the tires???

thanks for any input.

ill bet that your wobble is your carrier bearing on too steep of an angle. i know on mine i had to drop the carrier bearing about 1 to 1.5 inches to make it more of a straight line from the t-case to the rear end. youll have to build your own brackets, but it aint hard, ive used 2" square tubing on one truck, and a few pieces of 1/4 inch steel strap before. but i know i had a vibe from about 60 on up too till i did that, then there was no vibes at all clear to 110 mph

That is 4.5 on a 4x4? Ouch... What did that lift cost you?

Got it from a member on this site. Got it for 450 and trade for my Bilstien shocks.
Carrier baring is droped about 1 1/4". The shake is coming from the front end. I think it's the tires. I think they wore incorrectly, once I lifted it I had to drive it for a day at work. I'm going to try and rotate them tomorrow.

The alignment must be right. These trucks are finicky when it comes to getting this right. Do you know what the alignment was set at? Caster degrees? Toe-in?

No. But I had the dealership I do business with align it and I have confidence in them. Could it be the stearing stabilizer? Could it be that I used a tapered 3" rear block and the angles are off on the rear drive shafts? I did drop the carrier baring down about 1 1/4", which took away the shudder at stop to 12mph.

any help would be great.

thanks Jamie

Called tuff country and they told me it's the 3" tapered block. We took the 3" block out and reinstalled the 2" block and presto, wobble 90% gone. It has a lot to do with the pinion angle of the rear axle and the differential. The angle has to nearly be perfect.

Still need to shim down the carrier baring a little, will do that tomorrow.
