3rd injector event

if the third injector event is to keep the cat hot enough to work properly, then if you lose the cat you do not need the third event,,,right?
is there a box that will eliminate it??

The third event is not just for cat heat. It also oxidizes more soot/particulates. No, you cant take the 3rd shot out with any box.

i was just thinking,,if the 1st and third injector event were eliminated that there would probably be a decent increase in mileage,,true,,it would be noisy and smokey,,but heck,,alot of people like that,,i wonder why a performance chip company doesn"t include a feature like that?

legalities come to mind, if it is illegal for us to remove our own cats due to emissions requirements, what do you think would happen to a company that made a box that removes the required events to acheive the emissions standards? not pretty. besides, most of us would like to loose the 3rd event to lower EGT's, want to drive a vehicle with good mileage, dont get a 7000 pound truck. sorry, just my .02

yeah,,legalities would be a tough one,,i didn"t think of that,,how about the first event do u see any legal issues there? i think mileage is a concern for just about everybody these days ,,with the price of fuel up the way it is,some of the chip companies even advertise better fuel economy with there units,,I"m happy with the mpg i get with my truck ,,21.5 highway at 69 mph,,how ever,,if there was a box that would for-sure up my mileage i would buy it,,i wasn"t able to afford this truck by not watching my money ,,,also,,,i bought this diesel because it got good mileage( compared to the gas ram i had) ever tow a 20 ft enclosed car hauler with a gas pick up truck?? 6mpg,,,,,,so yes,,i did buy this 7000 pound truck for mileage

Guys, If you are complaining about 3 injection events the 2006 Duramax LLZ has 5 or 6. I don't know if the duration boxes have the ultimate effect of minimizing the other injection events or just by extending the primary injection that the other two blend into the main event because they are so close in timing. Don? ks
