I have 37s with my 3.73s but I have the 6-speed and it loves them! I will see after I go to 41s if I need to go to 4.10s but I doubt it!

I had 37's on 20's on my 05 and just ran an exhaust, intake and oh-yeah bullydog's Crazy Larry... Loves that... It made up for the extra umphhh needed to get things rolling.. It would literally jerk my trailer if I stomped on it but you couldn't see behing your for a block or two because of the insane smoke!!!!

I run 35s, 3.54:1s, and an NV4500, its a match made in heaven... the only thing i would change is to split the gears a little better when towing heavy loads.

If any of you live in the san jose area... I can pull HWY17 either direction end to end in 5th at 1200-1400RPM at good speed 60-70. awsome milage, awsome power, great gearing.

I was looking for some 3.54s to replace my 3.73s. Keeping RPMs down is what it is all about. Unfortunately, it seems that the lowest ratio available for the 11.5 corporate is 3.73 !!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

When I put 37's mine I changed from 3.73 to 4.56. It lowered my top speed just a bit, but I am very happy with swap.

I think 3.73's and 37's are perfect with a 6 speed. I would be happy with that setup even without the power mods. With stock tires, driving the truck around town was like rowing a boat, and my mileage sucked. Now I have a little more time in between shifts, and I run 75 mph at about 1800 or 1900 RPM's in 6th gear. It's nice.

I'm running 3.55 with 40's and an NV4500...highway at 70 is great, about 17-1800rpm and plenty of power to pass. Only thing i would consider is changing to a 5600 because with the high gearing the shifts have become very wide. I know you all are talking about 3rd gens and all but thought I might offer some insight.

4.10's and 37's here... i would not want 3.73's. I cruise 2-2.1k at 80...perfect

My truck will still hit oooohhhh say 135 or so...no need for more gear.

I personally have always gotten better mileage at 2k than at below.
