31s v.s. 33s v.s. 35s in 1/4 mile and HWY speeds

OK, since everyone is saying a little bit of everything different, I thought this would be the best way to determine. I would like to know what differences to expect in a 1/4 mile with each size and also in the HWY, so example:

If a guy ran a 15.1 in 1/4 with 265s, what would he probably run with 285s or 315s??? So, this is what I roughly need to see:

1/4 mile GRAPH:

265/70/17= 15.1
285/70/17=
295/70/17=
305/70/17=
315/70/17=

So if anyone can just fill out what they think the bigger sizes it would be in the 1/4 mile taking that the guy ran a 15.1 with the stock 265s.

Also, How would the bigger tires also benefit off a roll, hwy speeds??

I think AK RAM said he was .4 slower with 315s vs. the stock 265s. That drop comes from the increased rotational mass and the effective drop in gearing. You'll see a similar dip in performance from a roll, too. They look better, though....

you have (2) 10" subs under your rear seat, I am looking to actually get (2) 12", any reason you got the 10s and NOT the 12s?

Yep...a big...or small issue...depending on how you look at it.

There is not enough room for a good 12...in volume or in depth/width at the bottom of the MOOSEMUSICAUDIO.COM box.

285/70/17= A little slower
295/70/17= A little bit slower
305/70/17= A little bit slower than a little bit slower
315/70/17= Not as slow as 37's!

This thread has went from hijacked to giggles pretty quick-LOL.

I have been running 315s since new. I am switching to 285s Saturday and will probably be at the track on Sunday. I will post what differences I see between 315s and 285s as soon as I have track time.

never ran 1/4 on stock tires, just give it more power to compensate. I dont think the 315's slowed me down much, but i only ran it with stock tires for 8K miles.
