315 70 17s rub

Well,I just had my 315 70 17 Destinations installed on my stock wheels and the l/f tire rubs on upper and lower control arms when turning sharp left.....the r/f doesn't rub at all though.

What can I do????

Do I have to buy different wheels, leveling kit,or maybe 1/2" spacers????

When I had 35's on my truck, they rubbed, but not that bad. If you don't want to drop the dough on some new rims, then just learn the new turning radius of your truck.

They've got some of those bolt on back spacers, but I'm not sure I trust them...

Aftermarket control arms by Don Thuren cures it. He puts a bend in the lower arms. Carli's are reportedly offset a dab also. H2 wheels will cure it also, but if you have molded mudflaps it may rub.

Just re-learn your turning radius. It's not a big deal with the rub. Mine's been doing it for a couple years, with no ill effects.

Glad you got a solution... just remember to double check and re torque all the studs/ lug nuts after a short while to make sure all is well....

Future reference, as others have said.. Just learn the new turning radius.. My old f150 always had a nice shiny spot on the radius from it.

No,I'm too picky.I would have sold the tires at a loss and downsized if I had to.
