3" lift and control arms?

3" lift and control arms?

im going to be putting in a 3" coil spacer drop pitman arm and track bar drop bracket. the truck will have 35"s. do i need to change my control arms or will the stock ones work. i i know on stock rims ill rub the control arms but it doesnt bother. any 1 else have this setup and know if there are any down falls to it. thanks

3" lift + 35" Toyos + stock everything else = good rub
Above plus 1/4" spacers = better but still rubbed
Above plus Thuren adjustable track bar = almost gone
Above plus mud flaps + 35" ProComp Extreme AT's = Good rub on L wheel well / flap
Above plus Carli (1/2" longer) control arms = Good to go - zero rub

Long way to go but I got there.

All along it did bother me a little but I could drive around it. What really bothered me was I knew my wife would just keep crankin and rub until she got where she wanted to go.

Gave me shivers every time she took the truck,....

i will most likly be making some soon to i think i am going 3/4 longer than the one i have on there now and i might make it a long arm system

I don't think so. I think 1/2" longer is about as much as you want to go with a 3" lift. Much more than that, and something else hits under compression of the suspension.
