Daystar has a 1", 1.5" and a 2.5" spacer lift for the 2wd trucks.

Without new upper control arms, it would virtually impossible, because with spacers, the upper arms would be hitting the upper spring mounts.

Smkn600CTD,
How long have you had the lift in?
Did the lift affect you alignment any?
Did you do it yourself, or take it to a shop?
When I looked at the web-site I did not see any related products for an 04.5. I have the '06.
Which system did you use.
I sent them an e-mail in this regard but have had no answer yet.

Your truck looks great!

Thanks

Its been in now probably about 3 months.

I did it myself, take about 1.5-2 hours, and that's me slacking

Its just a matter of taking out the shock, removing the caliper from the spindle. Get a jack under the control arm, loosen the upper ball joint nut, and using a ball joint seperator (NOT THE PICKLE FORK TYPE), pop it loose, lower the jack from under the control arm, and the spring and old spacer will come out. Then its just a matter of reversing the procedure. Make sure the spring sits into its groove in the bottom of the lower control arm when you reinstall it.

As for the alignment, its generally a good idea to get the truck aligned after loosing ball joints, and removing the springs/shocks.

But drive it about 10 miles or so, on the way to the alignment shop, to let the spring settle in with the new spacer.

4WheelParts has the spacers for about 75.00 bucks. Installed new shocks when I was in there, the stocks shocks are JUNK JUNK JUNK!!!!. You do not need longer shocks, just better quality

The suspension will be the same from 03-07 2wd 2500 or 3500.

The truck no longer bottoms out, and it now feels like it actually has front suspension, where are before it had virtually no spring travel.

I have an 03 3500 2wd. I used the Daystar 2.5" kit and put airbags in the back to give it a slight rake. There are pictures in my gallery but they have just the front and not the rear. It sat almost level without the bags but I still wanted the rake, just not as much. I think it makes the truck look completely different.

my 03 looked awful with the front bumper in the weeds. i got the daystar 2 incher and "snap" level and sweet looking. took about 2 hrs in the barn with hand tools. i took it to a buddy ten miles away and he checked the alignment to find it was perfect! he said that it may have been a little off before and the lift got it into specs. anyway that was a set of tires (worn evenly) ago and 70k or so. no probs and I have put the daystars in several more rams since with great results.

I bought 2'' Daystar which I never used. I ended up making my own set out of 6''
aluminum. I made 2'' drop blocks for swaybar.I took to Dealer to have aligned.
Good news realigned. Bad news there is no more adjustment.
