Good numbers for one of these newer trucks.

I can hit those numbers frequently with my 01.... when it runs. Seriously enough, good to see that. Tells me that with a little common sense and a bit of restraint, you can pull down decent enough economy with a newer one, to make it worthwhile.

What was your weight on this trip?

 

Never scaled it actually.

Just a quick in and out to pick up the dog. If a guy shows some restraint you can get some numbers. The truck probably would have been even more frugal if it had the stock turbo, and i stuck to 60 mph, but what fun is that?

 

Speaking of economy, 3 fords were found... all of them DOA.

1 Hosed injector, 1 no compression, 1 DFN what was the problem.

I wish I could have helped one of them, but I no speekee Ford.

The guy with the hosed injector said 'That Dodge truck, I should have bought it, but couldn't get past the POS interior.' I agreed with him, totally, but added 'I'm still running....... '

No cell service and he was gonna drive it 90 miles hoping to make it on 7 cylinders. I wished him luck, but that was all I could do for him.
