2007 Dodge 3500 5.9 blowby

My truck which was purchased new in Jan 2007 is a 2007 Dodge 3500 5.9
cummings diesel which has blowby now. I have always done the proper filter changes and have the reciepts to prove it. Chrysler says and the dealer says it my fault that dirt got past the filter and wrecked the motor. I have made sure that the filter was changed at least every 6000 miles not the 12000 miles they say to do. I am fighting with Chrysler at this point and have asked for a meeting with the dealership where the truck is. Dont know what to do at this point cant afford a new motor. Anyone
have the same kind of issues with a 5.9 07 Dodge Diesel?

Bring the reciepts with you. As long as you didn't have a K&N in the box. I would find a lawyer, too.

2007 Dodge 5.9 Cummings Diesel filters

They say my reciepts are BS. We have always done the maintenance ourselfs because its just easier. The air filter box is a poor design and only has 3 clips to hold it down. Fram filters are what we have always put in it. Still hopeing to resolve with the dealership or Chrysler themselfs.

They are aware of the problem. A lot of the boxes don't seal properly. My 2005 didn't. I started putting Vasoline around the edge of the filters to help them seal. Keep putting pressure on them. Chrysler is aware of the problem.

obtain legal council
Until you serve the dealership and the Dodge rep. with court papers, they are only giving you a "smoke and mirrors" show.

I hope a lawyer is not going to be needed. It will be my last resort. We have contacted a local Arizona news station for help. They called us yesterday and wanted all of our information faxed to them. I did so I just have to wait now.
Thanks to everyone whos answered

Yell if they post the article on their website. Its terrible they are giving you the issues that you are having. If they give you grief ask for a number to reach their district manager. Gotta keep on them. The more and more I hear these stories....

Turned down again. They wont fix it says it our fault. Picked up our truck up yesterday they drove it out to our tow truck with the turbo hose loose letting more dirt get in. Sent them an e-mail this morning letting
them know that they left the hose off, and we are still waiting for a meeting. They also now say that Fram air filters let micro fibers get by
so maybe we should be complaining to them about the damage to the
engine. I guess we are gonna have to get a lawyer.

So how much did you save using those Fram filters? From my years of seeing their fitment and Q/A on everything else I'd choose Mopar/Cummins/Fleetguard everytime.

....and FYI the dealer is following protocol from corporate. There has been tons of testing and info handed down to the dealers on "dust out" and "fuel contamination" issues.
