2006 Bullydog

I've been browsing these forums for years and just now had the need to register and post something, I guess the addiction is going to start. Anyways I fanally made the decision to mod my 2006 with a chip. So I went and bought a bullydog power pup(I only drive a dodge and didn't see the need for the triple) and the outlook moonitor. I went to put it on the truck and the wiring harness wasn't right. The people I ordered from wont take it back because they cancelled the product line.

Apparently (probably NOT news to you guys) the 2003-2005 trucks take one outlook and the 2006s take a different one! They sent me the one for 2005. So here I am stuck with a downloader that works but no guages that I can use on my truck. The whole experience has gotten me kind of fed up with it, but I was wondering...

Is there any way to make the 2005 wiring harness work with the 2006 truck? An adapter kit or anything? I am doubting there is. Any suggestions on this would be helpful. My truck is a farm truck and I would probably prefer to sell it and buy a jake brake right now, due to the need for the jake and the bull associated with this downloader.

ANYONE know anything about my perdicament.? (Ad removed site violation)

I'm not sure what to do, all I know is I have 700+ dollars tied up in something im not using and that doesn't make me happy.

Thanks for the long read,

Austin Kolb

Thumbs up

I would call Bully Dog and see if they can swap out the parts for you plus any price difference. Let them know what happened. They may not like that type of business relationship with their vendors. After all it is their Bully Dog name taking some heat here.

I called bullydog and it doesnt seem like that is an option. I also asked if they were going to come out with an outlook for the power pup only (2006), they said no, only for the triple dog. Kind of sucks. i guess my best bet would be to sell the whole thing and then see if I want to buy the triple dog or what I want to do at that point in time. Thanks for the suggestion HotRodK.

You may get a better response if you post an add in the classified forum. Good luck!

If you paid by credit card, and I hope you did, you can call & contest the charges & most times the credit card company will side with you. If it hasn't been over a couple of months!

That would be the thing to do here. It sounds like the company he purchased it from needs to be set back a little.

Hmmm....sounds exactly like what I had....if you have an outlook for an older truck it should work as you simply don't need to use the harness that plugs into the map sensor and rail pressure etc. The outlook reads all its info on the OBD II port for the 06 trucks so hook it up, and don't use the additional harness. In other words you would hook the outlook into one of the little green connectors (plus the pyro of course) and leave the other one empty and all should be good.
