I have a 2006 auto. I want to go to a G56. I looked to trade my truck for a new 5.9 with G56 but they are all gone or way too expensive.

moparpartz shows new G56 for $3300. What other parts do I need? Here is what I figure, assuming the G56 comes with the bell housing

G56 $3336 (new)
SBC clutch/flywheel/hydraulics CON FE $1350 (new)
clutch pedal assembly
hydraulic assembly $70 (new)
driveshaft $239 (new)

Will I need a different driveshaft or should the auto and manual driveshafts be the same? Is the shifter part of the G56?

I could probably sell my auto to cover the SBC clutch. That would pretty much leave the cost of the trans, not toooo bad compared to the price of a new truck. What other expensive parts am I missing?

probably going to ahave some programming issues with the ecm

 

I was reading on another thread that it may throw some codes but it doesnt affect anything. I am not sure if that is true for my year model, but it might be a possibility.

I wonder if the dealership can reprogram the ECM to manual maybe?
