2 wheel automatic drive line mod.
Has anybody put a FWD transfer case on the back of a 2wd automatic transmission with the front yoke and gears removed out of the transfer case. I am trying to get a lower gear for reverse.
Interesting concept........I like it!
Change the Trans to a 4wd or change the output to a 4wd and bolt on the t-case. Removing the chain, front output shaft, 2/4wd shift fork, and the sprocket would get rid of 30+ lbs of rotating weight.
You could just machine a plug to take place of the front output seal to replace the front seal/flange.
Maybe some type of industrial aux box would work too. I assume those are still made? Like the Spicer 7231? Then you could get more forward gears too!
