I have been doing a lot of reading and research on the benefits of having a 2 mic fuel filter and I would like to install one. My question is; will the stock lift pump be alright pushing through the new filter or will I be decreasing the life of the pump? Currently I am seeing 8 - 9psi of fuel pressure all of the time with my stock lift pump. How many people are still using a stock lift pump with a 2 mic filter and how long have you been doing it?

 

A couple of guys have done this with the Glacier 2 micron filter kit/big line. They said it worked great. One had a Smarty Jr. also. I can't remember his user name. He hasn't posted in a while.

 

You should be fine. JMHO.

 

I have had mine on for about a year and a half with no problems.

 

I have the Glacier 2-micron fuel filter setup with the big lines, been on for 40K miles, NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. I am also running the 5-micron filter in the stock canister instead of the 7-micron. Def worth the investment.
