That's a bad idea... The OE specs for water removal are 95% free and emulsified water... Water will do a TON more damage than the difference in 2 microns from the Baldwin to the AFE. Everytime I drain my filter housing I get a little water, and I live in a dry area....

The best filter, as mentioned, is the Baldwin PF7977. Its 5 microns absolute, and 1-2 microns nominal. It's the only filter to meet OE specs, other than OE.

Personally i run a Baldwin 1212 20 mic f/w sep, then the PF7977, then a 2 mic cat. All of this on the stock LP, and have yet to see less than 5psi fuel pressure at the CP3, even at 30+psi of boost.

Wow ah64id you must have gotten the good in-tank lift pump. Even stock, I can draw FP down to zero.

Wow... I was going to say the big line kit helps, but you have that too..

I'm looking at putting the 2um Cat on there, just need to source a filter head. I looked at the GDP stuff and seems kinda pricey for a filter/head/bracket and a few fittings/bolts. Looks like this'll do the trick for $21:

I used a Baldwin 1311 filterhead and mounted it on a GDP bracket with big-line kt.

2 micron cat filter, permacool head, line from mitusa in, regulator out, plus 1 outlet for each cp3, water filter seperator before the mitusa. Overkill much.
