2 or 3 gauges
2 or 3 gauges
My 2004.5 has a Quad XZT. That along w/ the tone ring mod, muffler delete, and silencer ring removal are all the mods that I am going to do.
I want to get a boost gauge & pyro. Should I also get a fuel pressure gauge? I want to mount the gauges just below the overhead computer. Two gauges would be OK, not sure i can fit three gauges. Also, how much $$$ will the gauges & probes set me back?
Comments?

If you're concerned with fuel pressure then by all means monitor it. You still have the stock lift pump so it would be a good idea to do so.
I was concerned with my lift pump and replaced it with a glacier diesel kit. My pump was in ok shape for what I know but they don't have the best track record. My buddy is on his second one and we're pretty sure its about gone.
Originally I had a Quadzilla gauge that measured rail pressure and fuel pressure from the lift pump. It didn't work very well for me so I have a westach gauge ready to go in whenever I get well enough to get back to work on the truck!
What part of VA are you in?

I'm not saying that I'm concerned - should I be?
About how much would all three gages, the sensors, & the pod cost if I put it in myself?
I would get the fuel pressure gauge. Even though you don't plan any fueling mods, monitoring the pressure is important. Catching a failing lift pump or clogged filter could save your 2000.00 main pump. Pressure drops are a great early warning sign.
Well id go with the 3 gauges. boost, pyro,FP. i had just a 2 before and ended up getting the 3 cause i like to make sure everything is working. Just peace of mind for me cause i had 2 lift pumps die on me.
