13.21@107.9mph!!!! 1/4mi. Now time for Top Speed Eliminator

Well, I just got through doing some test runs after I installed the new turbo and increased the boost. Best time as noted in the title 13.21@107.9 with as litttle of slipage as the stock tires would allow. I noticed the defueling a few of those have seen before the true cut off point of 110mph. I know it won't account for much, but I'm sure at a better track with traction, I will need something to get rid of the speed limiter. Right now in fact I'm sure thats all thats keeping me from busting in the 12's. If I ever get a set of slicks I know it will be needed. Need some advice here guys. Hopefully on the cheap side.

Good job!...

Hey, looks like you are running an '03 as well. 1 option for you to try is BD Powers' Race anti-defueler or "RAD". It stops the shift defueling and eliminates the top speed limiter. Unfortunatley you lose your gauges to run the defueling part, but the speedo just stops while you keep accellerating otherwise. Not too pricey, a couple of hundred bucks I think. Hope this helps. By the way nice numbers, I could only wish.

If you have not done any trans mods then I would NOT recommend the RAD. Mine bangs 2nd gear hard when I turn it on! I can't see a stock trans lasting long like that...... It works great though...

I'm not sure how well it does on a 48re. The 03SOs w/ 47re seem to be affected most by torque mgmt and that box really helps me. The same box for the 600s doesn't seem to give all those benefits.

With the rad box can you only turn the top speed limiter off? I don't need it for tq management.

Same here, I don't have tq management either, it's gone cept in the 3 to od shift. One great thing bout the Edge Juice!!! I'm just needing to up the top speed limit now??? Can you turn it on once under way and your in OD? Thats how I would use it. Launch, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, OD- flip switch then bam!, the traps.

I really like the BDPP when I'm playing around, but it's a little to sensitive and aggressive on the throttle in the upper settings when stacked to be used everyday, so I do 90% of my driving with it in the Tow mode. By the way, did you get the original BDPP or the Triple Dog?

Hey, it might be worth the $10!!!

It will be a while before my truck can do that! My big obstacle is trans upgrades. Anybody got a few extra grand laying around I can have for a full billet DTT?

Again awesome numbers! Hope you get the speed limiter problem fixed.

RAD eliminates the Top Speed limit all the time and torque management when its on. Trust me....you have torque management. I can notice it alot on 2 to 3 and most on 3 to 4. It allows full throttle on those shifts and boost and rpms just roaring on. ks

great numbers! i recently visited a track for the first time and was very impressed with how i our trucks compare to mustang GTs and such...i was beating ALOT of them in my 7000+ pound truck....

when i raced, i had my aftermarket wheels and toyos on...i have some stock wheels with 245 street tires that are going with me to the track next time.....I also had lawn chairs hanging out of my truck and empty cans blowing everywhere.....and a 2 ton floor jack in my toolbox thats full of other tools as well.....and my best time to date is 13.96...gotta love the CTD!

Just got back from the track in Mempis. I was only able to make about 6-7 runs at the lights. My new best, with more room for improvement: 13.11@106.4mph on the very last run of the night. I forgot to turn the safety defuel off on the Edge on that pass, and didn't get on it as hard as I could out of the gate. Truck kept getting better, as i learned the track. Ran out of time before they closed for the night. I know on the very next pass, I would have broken into the 12's!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have had more runs but they stopped me from running with no helmet when I broke into the 13's after checking track conditions and the grove. Had to go buy a pair of pants also, and borrow a helmet from a guy who was kind enough to lend it.
