1/4 mile time Question

Hey guys, My truck seems like it should be going faster than what it has so far..my best time with just smarty tnt on 9, a 62/71/13ss turbo and a tranny I did a 13.6 on 35s and 20s. I just put an s400, airdog150, and a ts mp8 on. What should I hit in the 1/4? Any hp estimates? Im going to run the truck in a few weeks I just dont want to take a chance to break something before the suncoast dyno day. Thanks for any replies.

Well with stock sticks and cp3 I would run SW #7, maybe RP2 or RP3, TM4, Timing 2, wastegate off. Start with MP8 30-40% and see how it runs. Turn up MP8 until you drain the Rail. Might be in the low 13s. With a lockup switch might hit high 12s with good launch and 60'. The tires will hold you back some along with cp3 and injectors. Just my .02.

Thanks for the reply..I forgot to mention that I do have the manual lock up switch. I don't have a rp gauge, but I have turned the mp8 up all the way for a short run, tnt sw 9,rp2, tm4, timing2 it pulled very hard-with just the 62. Truck does not surge it just flat out rips. I will be finished fabbing the last parts of the twins friday so im anxious to see what i feels like.

A long box 4x4 on 35's? I think a 13.5 is pretty good. Whats the track elevation?

I'm at sea level..it feels pretty fast, I know the mp8 made a big difference on bottom end, Just dont know what to expect from putting the s400 under my 62

With stock sticks and those tires you are doing well. The twins won't get you much more. You need more fuel now.

Ok did not realize you were fabbing twins. If you can run it all turned up without draining the rail or running too hot go for it. My experience is that somewhere on high end of 3rd gear is where I drain the rail when turned up too high. It will drop RP below 20k, pop some and EGTs will go up. EGTs are not really a worry anymore with my current stack, but draining the rail is.

I still think with stock injectors, cp3 and 35s you will be high 12s at best, which ain't bad.

Yep thats what I would do. Adding the Flux 2s and bag of parts I went from 12.7s to 12.4s. This is still with my 4 year old II SPS66 gated at 55psi.

With the settings you are running and the mp8 on top of that, you need a lift pump and cp3 upgrade. Backing off to sw7 and leaving the RP to stock and using the mp8 on 50-70% may net you a faster time than with everything cranked. You need to be supplying more fuel to the rail.

I understand what mods you have now. What both of us are saying is with the stock cp3 and injectors try toning down the settings some. A number of people have posted better overall results with TNT SW 7 over SW 9 even with more mods. Mine is radical power with TNT/R SW #9, but my mods won't sustain that power level for a full WOT 1/4.

I run better times with SW 7 than SW 9.
