08' W/bluetec
08' W/bluetec ****UP-DATED****
Have An 08' 3500 2wd 6.7 Auto W/bluetec
The Truck Is Constantly Loading Up...engine Light, Regen, Egr Pluged
We're Done With That.
Would Like To Eliminate As Much Of The System As Possable
Need Some Clarification On What Would Be Required To Do So.
Objectives:
-smarty
-egr..block Off / Delete
( W/smarty, Will It Still Need To Be Pluggedin)
-new Down Pipe W/out Pre-cats/resonators
-02 Sensors
(w/smarty, Still Need In New Down Pipe Or...?)
-dpf Delete
( What To Do With The Blue Tech Lines And Such )
Would Like To Keep The Factory Cat And Muffler Back
Any Advice From Experience Would Be Helpful
Thanks In Advance

The Truck Currantly Has An Edje W/attitude
Will This Controler Disable All Of The Sensors And Egr
Take Care Of All Of The Codes And Such?
It Would Be Nice If All I Hasd To Get Was The Delete Kite And Nat Another Controller

Ok. First, the Edge Juice w/Attitude can be set to clear the codes at startup, but it will NOT turn off the sensors, DPF, or EGR functions. Only the Smarty or H&S XRT can do that presently.
With the Smarty, you can remove the o2 sensors from the exhaust without any worries.
With the Smarty, you have to unplug the throttle valve connector on the intake horn. If you don't want to physically delete the EGR, you can stop here and you will be good to go. If you want to remove the EGR system from the vehicle, you first have to remove the EGR motor from the EGR valve and pull the plunger that is inside of it. Then the motor stays plugged in and zip tied away. The rest of the entire EGR system can be removed to include the servo motor on the cooler side if you would like.
The pressure lines that connect to the exhaust under the truck are removed from the pressure valve located on the side the transmission. The pressure sensor on the transmission stays plugged in and left alone.
The Cat is actually in the downpipe so if you wanted to leave the Cat on there you would need to just straight pipe from the downpipe back to the muffler. The DPF and NOx adsorber are the two big bubbles in the exhaust that you will need to remove. You can put bungs for your EGT sensors in the straight pipe exhaust or you can zip tie them to the frame rails but they have to stay plugged in. Or you can put sims in the plugs and remove the sensors; most people are finding this is the best way of doing things with the Smarty at this point.
Hope this helps.
