07 cimmins vs my 03 cummins

Well my buddy and i had a little race and he bet me by 2 or 3 fender or so light to light with his 07 cummins , He has a cold air intake and dual exhaust . i my self only had just put the my smarty jr back on the 40hp setting with all other mods off because i had my truck at the dealer for some work to be done , when we stop he gave me a pretty hard time with all his buddys in with him . so like the man i am i told him we would have to try it again some time next week ,cause ill have a new dual exhaust like him . O by the way he thinks my truck is stock other then my new duel exhaust that will be installed . all and all his still my buddy but after we try it again should i tell him that i have mods on my truck ?

Even though I REALLY don't advocate ANY kind of street racing, who got the jump? j/k. Those new 6.7's spool and move quick. If you put your .jr to the 100 horse setting, then it would be powerwise even. If you kept it that close with only 40, then next time should give you a fender or two. I would tell him, then remind him that you did it with a 100 hp handicap to begin with. On the otherhand, that is one of the joys of owing a Smarty product. Out of sight and out of mind.

No, don't tell him. Just rave about the new exhaust. If you really want to smoke him, put your stock tires back on.

I agree with you on the street racing it not the place for it . but it was very late at night so there was no one around , if it had been day time i would not of had anything to do with it . anyways im not real sure but i think his truck has the 5.9 but i may be wrong . i think if i put my smarty up to 100 setting and my coldair intake and my boost elbow my ez 1000 back on i think i can pull on him real good by the way he pulled on me , or maybe his play with me who knows but i think he don,t have much done with his truck . but like i said it just for fun .

not all that fair,a modded truck against a stocker, the 6.7 is rated at 325 and yours is 305 so even with the 40 jr tune its not all that fair

I believe the 6.7 is rated at 350hp and the 5.9 is rated at 325hp. I know I was told my 2007 5.9 is rated at 325 hp and 610lbs of torque, where the 6.7 was rated at 350hp and 650(?) lbs of torque.

the cummins is a turbo diesel, it should beat the cimmins easily. but seriously I don't see exhaust and CAI really making much of a difference, should be all about what you set your smarty jr to, and the big tires will hurt you to.

Isn't his 03 listed as the Cali model, 250/460 SO? If so, has alot to overcome to match up with the 07 "Cimmins"...

Didn't even catch that. He does have the SO Cal Model. He does have alot of ground to make up to even be equal with the 07.
