Got a wild hair to throw some Silverstars into my truck...Bought the 9006's for fogs, and 9007's for the headlamps....9007 WILL NOT FIT!! Dummy me for figuring they would Anyway DC is using the new H13 halogen bulb...Research AFTER my purchase shows the replacement for it wil be the 9008, if it ever comes out

 

Do you know if there is a difference between the '05 and '06 headlights? I looked on the Sylvania site and they list the 9007ST as the replacement for the 2005, which I have. I would hate to spend the bucks only to find they don't fit. I would like to upgrade the lighting a bit. It doesn't seem to measure up to my other vehicles. Thanks.

 

9007 wont fit an 06...the replacement will be the 9008

I did the fogs first...I put one silverstar in and turned them on...Broad daylight around 1PM...And I could see the difference...Halogen was yellow, silverstar was bright white...Cant wait to get them out after dark...Cant wait for 9008's

 

Has anyone tried putting higher wattage bulbs in the headlights?? Just wondering..

Internet speculation says the they won't be a 9008 version of the SilverStar...Sylvania apparently cant get DOT approval for them...So I found these They seem popular in the Ford forums...Wondered if anyone had tried the higher wattage bulbs and had problems?? I may just stick with the standard wattage

The color temp on these bulbs is alot higher than Silverstars too....Anyone tried this flavor?
