I'm getting ready to install the EGT & Boost gauges, and as I understand the instructions they want you to tap into the factory wiring harness dimmer circuit. I'd like to NOT cut into the factory harness, and tap it via a connector somehow. Any ideas?

 

via connector i dont know but i wouldnt worry to much about tapping on the dimmer switch. I did it and still good after beating the truck out in the dirt.

 

Mine are tapped into the dimmer wire and no issues. I say go for it. Just make sure to solder the wires for the best, most reliable connections. That's how mine are connected.

 

pull out ur headlight switch and it was the orange wire on mine i believe...maybe it had a brown stripe too. but thats where i connected mine...works great. dimmer works great too
