My point with my post was.... I want to do as much on fuel as I can. I'm pushing the limits of my SB now as far as keeping cool. Don said the truck they dynoed had twins and didn't do much more than my truck is capable of. So I looked at it like an extra 3 to 5K on twins to only get me 75hp more. The reality is though.... I'll never get the cooling the twins can give on a single so there's no choice but to go twins.

There's the difference in what's done to my truck. With some better tuning I'd be real close to 800hp without spending a dime. I haven't found that sweet spot yet with it though. Also, my engine wasn't being pushed to it's limit getting to 700hp where you're was probably screaming. You're pretty much suck where you're at unless you spend the extra cash.

My 04 is down about 50hp compared to my 06 with just a smarty. The 06 did around 830 with only the 4.3 beta. The tst gave my 06 about 40 hp. I have tst for the 04 but wanted to test only the smarty first. I was actually impressed with the 04, due to the 06 was running a 5" magnaflow vs stock muffler/ tailpipe. Other than the exhaust the trucks have similar supporting mods.
Money in the trucks? I would be scared to figure. Helps to do all the work myself from cam and head installs to tranny building, but the $ add up quick with full billet trannys, twin turbo and pumps.

There is a replacement valve seat for the 03-04 CR that is slightly larger that is suppose to cure the do drop out...which has happened twice to me. Some people just ping the seat in 4 or 8 spots with a center punch and this is a good stop gap....A full bore refit with oversize valves and seats is the long-term way to go to get more flow and security. 06's I thought had bigger valves than 04's....KS

Jess, my bottom charger moves about 125 lbs of air per minute. I am not sure what that is in cfm. I am sure Nate knows though. I should have enough air for around 900hp. I have a 88mm s400 to go on next and that one moves about 140 lbs per minute. No water on my truck yet.
Kerry the valves are the same size in a 04 as the 06. The head on the 06 just has a little better ports. I actually think the 04.5 and 05 have the best valves. Tim

Removing the muffler gave an additional 10 HP. The truck still has the stock tailpipe though. So its up 790 HP and still no TST. This is Smarty only.
