I was wondering if anyone know what wire would disable the rev limiter for the new 600s? I have read that you have to cut a wire under the hood, but not sure witch one. So if anyone has knows, and has tried this please let me know.

Hmmmm...... I'm more interested in removing the top speed limiter without the 500 dollar box.... Anyone have any input on this?

Top end is limited only by RPMs on the CTD, right??

As far as I know, the cummins computer controls the rpm limiter. It stops sending fuel signals to the injector by 3300 rpm, ramping down from 2900 to 3300 on the auto. Havent heard of a fix for that yet. A couple of years ago a mustang GT 5.0 waved bye bye to me as he passed me. I was crusing along at about 80 mph,in my 12 valve. We both hammerd down. Boy was surprised to see my grill in his rear view . He started to pull me when my old cummins hit 3800 rpm. Im sure he has a new respect for 3/4 ton pickups. Im sure someone will come up a fix for the third gen.

 

On the second gens, you can cut a wire and rev all the way to 3500. You need a box to fuel all the way up there though.
