03-04.5 - 305hp 555
04.5 - 325hp 600
05-06 - 325hp 610

On the 600 engine normal numbers are 270hp to the wheels. (+ or - a little)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Also, the 03-04.5 engines run alot cooler and get much better fuel mileage. It does take more $$ to get the same power output of them compared to the 04.5+ engines... if that is your goal.

You'll notice alot of the new trucks are making good numbers without aftermarket injectors.

The 600 series motor will reach 500+ a lot easier than than 305/555. As for rear wheel hp. Yes it probably is 270 on a 6 speed. But the auto robs about 80hp so the are about 245 rwhp

I've seen autos dynoed at 260 with the 600s. What's weird is my 305 dynoed at 275.

mine dyno'd at 348 with a bullydog pp, 4" MBRP and K&N FIPK, and a really really weak tranny. It was so weak that the dyno operator had troubles getting a good number.
