03 vs 05 smarty question
My dad bought an 05 and I unlocked the vin from my smarty jr on my 03 and when I pluged it into the 05 it said "can not read software" any ideas why it wont load? thought it was the same programer from 03 to early 07?

Did you return your 03 back to stock? Can't use it on 2 trucks at the same time. You may need to download the latest software for the Smarty, I hear there is a newer version that is compatible with the latest Dodge software.

yes I did return my 03 back to stock and updated software on it a few months ago.. might end up trying to call mads electronics on it. also the guy said he had an Edge programer on it at one time and took it out. any chance the computer wont read the smarty because of that?

As far as I know the Edge products are just a programmer and not downloaders so that should not be a problem. Not sure when the last update was released by MADS, check the web, that may be your fix.
