With just me in it and the bed empty but full of fuel, he weighs in at 9250!

That's a lot of beef!

I'm putting both my trucks on a diet, trying to get them back down to their max gross weight - 9000# and 8800#

I got 4.92 with mine and a gtech pro.

However, i hear that the gtech is not nearly as reliable on our tourqe monster diesels....could be fact, or fiction....i dunno!

Really? I had not heard that. I thought that an accelerometer would not care how much torque a truck had as it can only measure what the tires are putting down.

Unfortunately, Optimus is as slim and trim as he can be!

Hey dwiggs.........2.6 sec 0-60? I think they were talking 0-60 mph, not 0-60 feet. Id say that your gtech is a little off if with the mods you have are gonna propel a 9250 lb megacab dually 0-60 mph in 2.6 sec.

I think Reidsram was poking fun at the whole 0-60mph thing and the excessive modding we are doing to plow horses trying to make them show jumpers. ks

Yeah something too do with the extreme yaw rates the torque causes....infact i heard that the g-tech is no good for any vehicle experiancing excessive "torque twist". Like i said though just something i heard...makes some sense, but could be fiction as well!!

I've never heard or read anything like that.

The G-Tech Pro has a tri-axial accelerometer, so it measures pitch, roll and yaw; in any case, I wouldn't necessarily rely on it for HP & torque calculations... with the vehicle weight, gearing, ET, distance, tire size etc. those are simple enough to calculate (and I've got a dream wheel for that).

Hi D.Wiggs
went to your website. What is the music (performer, title) that you have there?
Thanks
Edward

Maddog: I never claimed that I could go 0-60 in 2.6, I was shocked that someone else had! I have no idea what Optimus can do. It all depends on traction (or lack thereof). I will be trying out the G-tech this week!

MD: I will let you know what I find out with it!

Ropucha: I don't know to be honest; it is used on the Hamann Motorsport website and I 'borrowed' it! I really liked it but have no idea who 'makes' it.

Went to track last night but closed due to rain that afternoon...wet track.
Nothing else to due so tried the Adrenalines 0-60 program on the four lane hwy in front of the track! (when your geared up to race....got to do something).

5.70 sec with 35" tires (speedo corrected), 2 wd, and some tire slippage. 8,200 lbs.
Adrenaline has a 5 sec countdown than the timer starts. Just like the 1/4 mile except your ET starts even if you don't.

How do you figure 0-60 mph from a time slip? I know I have ran 4.913 @ 330 ft. and 7.679 in the 1/8th. in cooler weather. I was at 88.04 mph in the 1/8th
