Your take on the 6.7
No, just that it will not regen with the CEL on. No code were present. Did mention that over 150 regens were requested and that 68 had been done. Truck has delivered 24 trailers and is averaging 54.37 mph, so it is not being driven easy. Hope it keeps getting better, like the truck, it is a good tool.
Totally stock, pretty happy
My truck is totally stock and I plan to keep it that way for now. Only 53k on the odometer. Had a number of problems in the beginning (CEL's, EGR and turbo replacements) like many others who purchased a 2007.5 model. Virtually all the problems have been resolved over time (the J35 flash was a real positive step). I would prefer NOT to have all that emissions stuff intact but as long as I'm having no problems I'll take a wait and see attitude. Hopefully she'll keep running problem free but I always have in back of my mind the possibility of the emissions equipment causing problems somewhere down the road. Maybe in a few years I'll buy another truck. Perhaps it will use the newer SCR technology and we won't have to worry about DPF's clogging, and things like that...
I am still having a hard time getting used to the 6.7. I went from a 2005 5.9 with a smarty jr. to a 2008 CC 3500 and it just feels sick! I sure miss the the low end power of my 5.9. I still like my truck though, just waiting for the warranty to run out and for the release of a smarty for CC trucks.
My dealer isn't mod friendly at all, so like a lot of folks on here I'm playing the waiting game till the warranties expire and then I'll do the deletes.
It's a shame I have to wait, but at least for the time being if something does happen its covered. No problems with it yet, and you know the old saying "if its not broke, don't fix it" really does apply to my truck.

Screw the warranty! They can keep it. Got my SMARTY 67ME, cold air intake, EGR and cooler delete kit, waiting on the 5" exhaust and then parts WILL be falling off! Love the power of my wifes 07.5 mega cab. One awesome truck. I am one true Chevrolet person. Raced them all my life and when I had gas powered trucks they were Chevrolets! When I went to the diesels, I knew it had to be a Dodge with a Cummins! And I'm sure glad I did!!!!!!!!!
Lost the turbo due to carbon buildup. Dodge excuse was cold air intake, guages and muffler. Told 3 dealers the EGT was 1450 to 1500. Answer from them was did you get alarm. Having run a paper machine for 40 years with Georgia Pacific that was computer controlled when the alarm goes off its to late. The pistons could be in the pan. Dodge void my warranty 45 days before warranty was up. EGTs now run 850 to 1250 when towing lots of power After the deletes same as bigb truck. Have problems take it to diesel shop not to Dodge.

I decided to "fix" mine before I had any real problems because it is only a matter of time with this emisions system. And, there are so many other benefits. I've had so many warantees I never used and so not having one prematurely here is a small downside for the long term.
