The 6.7 is great!

Especially after deleting.

I liked my 6.7 stock. But, I love it with the full deletes. The engine is a beast with the Smarty and the 68rfe is so much smoother than the 48re.

I used to have a nice 03 model but had to sell it over a year ago. Things are better now and I am getting the fever again and have been looking to buy another truck. I am on the fence between finding a 07 5.9 or a newer 6.7. Looking at the posts on here, I don't seem to be as hesitant about the newer motor.

03RAM - I know the feeling. I had to sell my 06 and was very hesitant to get into a 6.7. Now that I have, I dont regret it at all. The transmission is a major improvement and with the deletes done it feels like a big 5.9. I would just check into emissions inspections in your area before getting a 6.7

The 6 auto combo on this truck is not to be compared to the 4 spd auto with the 5.9.
I would entertain a stand alone controller for the 6 auto with a 5.9 and that might be an awesome combination. I have a science project in the works that might have such a combination with a VGT as part of the twin turbo's on this science project.

I am very pleased with my 6.7.

voted for dislike the emissions but like the engine. I am still stock so don't know how it is in delete mode. I'm not willing to give up the warranty yet and so far I haven't had any issues other than poor fuel mileage.

About 6 more months of bumper to bumper warranty then deletes go on. Can't wait! Being stock now I have been very pleased with the truck.

I had a 2000 before this and got rid of it due to a leaking 53 block. Was on the fence for about 3 months after this purchase and since the exhaust adjustment, its all good. Great torque, GREAT tranny and the engine brake is amazing.

I had a 06 5.9L 2500 4X4 and LOVED that truck. Had to ugrade to a 3500 because of my trailer and looked at both a 07 3500 5.9L 4 speed and a 07.5 6.7L stock 6 speed. Decided on the 07.5 6.7L because I liked the 6 speed and the exhaust brake. Just completed my first towng trip of 5700+ miles and the truck performed well. Mileage was 11.79 total for the trip. While this is not great my 06 averaged 12-14MPG on similar trips. Thought the 5.9L had more power going up hills, but this truck did OK.

I loved my 06 but my 2010 is just one sick truck the itnterion is so improved I feel I am in a new lariat superduty when the engine is off. Driving down the road I have the comfort of a ford with a nice cummins under the hood.

Not sure what I am going to do about delets yet, need to do more research first.

25,000 miles and 1st problem, exhaust pressure sensor bad. Engine light on for the last 500mi. while waiting for new sensor to come in. Luckly it still runs good with the light on, no difference.

All stock for now, waiting for warranty to run out. Does not get the mileage of my 03. Ran it for 700 mile with "Reduced Power, See Dealer" towing an 8000 lb Jayco fifth wheel to Mandan, ND. Slow, but did not miss delivery target. Tech informed me that Reduced Power is about 50%. Felt like a 6.2 GM. 39000 miles since May 2nd, 61000 to deletes.....

Interesting...did the tech say why it did this? Never had it happen to mine. Hauled a few RV's...4-5 a month with mine for just over 100K miles. Runs better then new now.
