Is it wise to buy a 2007 6.7?

I'm looking to get a 2500 Quad or Mega. Would prefer a diesel for towing purposes. I realize the 5.9 is proven while the 6.7 is getting there. I've seen a few '07s with the 6.7 for sale. How many headaches will I be getting if I buy an early 6.7? I'm reluctant to get a high mileage 5.9. I know the engine will go a gazillion miles but what about the rest of the truck? How can I tell if a CTD was "chipped" and was used to race every Power Stroke he could find?

Thanks.

Bob

The 07.5's are vastly improved from where they started out from. I've got 45,000 trouble free miles on mine and couldn't be happier with it. There have been a great many flash updates since the 6.7 first came out and they have pretty much eliminated any issues that have arisen. The 5.9 had it's growing pains when it was first introduced... the 6.7 will reach the same status eventually. If you do decide to go with an 07.5, MAKE SURE that you have the most current flash update!! If you do, you'll be very happy with your purchase.

As you can see from my sig, I prefer the 5.9 The early 6.7's make me nervous and mine has no problems at all, nada. Good fuel economy too.
