When will the 08's be out?

I am wanting a Dodge truck and I would like to drive and check out one with the new 6.7 in it. Any idea on when the 2500's will be hitting the lot? Thanks guys.

Thanks. I have been lurking for a while and wanted to join. I know the cab and chasis trucks are out, but do you know when the 2500 regular trucks will be hitting lots?

My dealer told me "any day now." (for an 07 6.7).

He also offered me the chance to check out a chassis cab, but I was uninterested in the 6.7, myself.

2008 models would not be out until the Fall. All current production is MY 2007. Ford is the one calling their trucks 2008s.

HHHMM so when will the 07 trucks have all the extra emissions stuff on them? I know the 6.7 C&C truck have it and must run the ULSD fuel but what about the regular 2500/3500 when are they making the switch? I talked to my dealer back in November and as per him they should have been out by now to keep dodge from getting hit with fines. The government let them sell all the ones they had made without fines prior to the switch. Have to wait and see I guess

On the regular 2500/3500 platform? So all the stuff on the lots that are '07 with the 5.9 are surplus prior to the Jan date? When you build a truck on dodges web site or go to technical data for the '07 the 5.9 is the only that comes up for the regular truck. Now the C&C shows 6.7 of course. I could have sworn the ones at the lot the other day were built after Jan 1st and they had the 5.9 in them?

They shouldn't be 5.9s, if you seriously think they are built after Jan. 1 then check the build dates on those trucks, if they are built after then expect to hear in the news that Chrysler or Cummins had to pay fines to the EPA. (Or something similar)

See thats what I was sayin and thinkin that they should have already made the change over. Unless dodge is just hard up to pay a few fines? I will do more checking next time I go by a dealer.
