Fan clutch took a dump on me and I figure with 170k on the clock I'd replace the water pump while I have the fan houseing out to replace the clutch.

So what are the reports on the NAPA, Autozone, etc water pumps?

I can order a new one online from dodge truck parts for ~$223, but just checked NAPA and a new water pump is like $46....

AM I missing something? whats the difference?

I'm not sure why it is so expensive now, when I bought mine from a dealer it was in the mid $60 range. Worth a call to a parts guy instead of a web page.
