I thought that it was 3years/36000 miles bumper to bumper. Think things like tires, batteries, brakes etc are considered wear items but if you wear ouyt brakes in under 36K miles you probably have some type of brake problem that will cover the pads also. Think if it is considered wear item then something reasonable would be covered, otherwise not. Everything else should be vcovered. Then at 36K the Cummins engine warranty starts, administered by Dodge, but 100K on rods, head, pistons, cam and all related engine parts.

Having a problem or just curious??? If having a problem ask about it here as many have had to deal with troublesom dealers and issues and can probably help.

My son and I drove an 07 6.7 auto 1 ton LB today. The sales guy said 3 x 36k as noted. But they offer custom extended warrantee. The customer can virtually specify what you want covered and thus taylor the cost of the extended warantee. You have to guess what is likely to happen so it will pay to check here a couple times a day before lining up the warantee. Pretty nice actually. We didn't get numbers yet. We really needed to vamoose as we burned about 5000 miles off the tires checking out the 360 hp and 650 # torq. If you work at it you can burn all 4 at least a 100 feet. This is one powerful truck.

We've been trading with the same dealer for about 18 years when I bought my last truck I asked them about the extended warranties and was told by the finance guy that they were no more than a money maker for the dealership and not to waste my money. But I was not buying a new 6.7 I stuck with the 5.9 Just my .02
