Vibration Under Load

newbie here folks....

Just curious if anyone could explain what is happening to my truck; I have an '07 2500 4x4 with a 6.7L. It has about 110,000 Miles on it.

Under no load...were good to go. Under load...totally different story;

I pull a number of things with three different trailers however the one that causes grief is the holiday trailer. Its only 8000 lbs but once i get up to about 55 - 65 MPH, it starts rattling so bad you CAN NOT go any faster for fear of the whole unit blowing apart...lol....you can slow down and it goes away. It sounds just like the old choo choo trains coming down the track...chug chug chug...

Any ideas???

Much appreciated! Thanks.

Questions on your drive shaft, how long did you drive with a bent shaft, is it a two piece shaft, and if it is two piece, did you check the support bearing?

Questions for others, how much can the tranny output bearing and the rear end input bearing take from a out of balanced bent drive shaft?

From: Thanks Don M!
The carrier or center bearing could be worn out...if you have one. Do you have a two pc driveshaft?
FMB points out two other possible issues from the bent shaft.

i am not sure how long it was....slightly bent...who knows...really bent (BAD vibration) about 2 hrs. I am 99% sure it is only one piece.

I am going to try to find a local shop that will take a look. Only trouble is finding one with some talent and one that wont burn me in the process...

I will be sure to mention the thoughts you guys had. Thanks again for the help and please let me know if you think of anything else...camping season is coming fast and i CAN NOT tow in this condition

Well, I went on ask.com and "spoke" to a Dodge mechanic that has 22 years experience. He claims that it has to be the drive shaft. It isnt the diff, Tcase, Tranny or engine. He says that because i had a bent driveshaft beofre they shoudl have changed it out not "straightened" it. He says there is NO WAY you can straighten a drive shaft....so I will take it to a place here in a couple of weeks to see what they say.
