vibration under load

In 4th and 5th gear when pulling a load uphill I get a vibration that is consistent with the motor. It's not really a vibration so much as it is a droning.

The vibration has finally been solved, it was the belt tensioner causing the vib.

How did you find the problem?? I get an engine vibration too. It smooths out if I let off the pedal. How do you check the belt tensioner?

Replaced the serpentine belt today. Gotta drive it on the freeway now.
