What is the "Ultra Clean Diesel System Charge" listed on the option sheet? Is it an option or do you have to pay for it with a diesel, like a surcharge?

 

You have to pay for it when you get a new 6.7 engine. They did through in the exhaust brake with that price though. It was to be expected but the addition of the exhaust brake made it where it isn't so bad. To have an exhaust brake installed on a 5.9 it would at least cost you the part. Around 1,000 dollars.

 

IIRC correctly, you're being charged for the DPF.

 

It costs money to be environmentally friendly.....
