The Smarty will eliminate regens. The ME version that is.

What timer are you referring to?

The Regen timer - as I understand it the ECM bases Regens on pressure sensors as well as time - that even if the sensors say all is OK but there has been no regen in certain time period - the ECM initiates one

Im not certain if it is timer based, however the Smarty disables all regen cycles, 4th injection events, and EGR functions.

In other words, the Smarty (or H&S) turns the 6.7 into a big 5.9

Here is a 2nd opinion for ya: Go the proven route and be problem free, get a Smarty or H&S. Glad the foolers worked for ya that long, might be a record there. Also glad they found that leak making those noises...
