Transmission fluid coming out of dipstick tube
Transmission fluid coming out of dipstick tube
A friend of mine just bought an 07 6.7 mega cab 4x4 and he is having trouble with fluid pumping out of the dipstick tube. I guess it even caught fire today because of it. Is there anything to check that would cause this? He said it drives fine, just has the fluid coming out.
It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Another possible reason could be a bad injector and filling the crankcase with diesel. Does the oil smell like diesel and is it thinner than usual? If this is the case, STOP, don't drive it any further or you could ruin the engine!
That makes sense for the motor, but this is about the transmission...
