my dad has an 07 5.9 with 25000 miles. he hot shots hauls big loads all the time. last night we noticed that it had a little tick unlike a regular diesel tick. are we just hearing things or is something going wrong?

 

It is very hard to tell from your description as a tick is very vague. Are there any other symptoms of a problem or it just doesn't sound like you believe it should?

 

its just the motor statring to loosen up.
