There goes my headgasket!

Well here it goes.....Last week while under the hood I noticed coolant residue around the overflow bottle, fired her up and noticed the some air bubbles popping in the bottle, ordered an EGR cooler delete kit, installed, same thing! Put a pressure test on and just watched the coolant system build pressure at idle, HEAD GASKET. Now for the good news. I called my buddy at my dealer and he told me he would no doubt warranty it, but I have to put everything back to stock. Then yesterday I spent all morning calling everyone in the country looking for headstuds that are on intergallatic backorder, found a set after 3 hours.....SO i will be undeleting on saturday, back to the dealer, and hopefully after about a week will have a studded 6.7l that I have to unchoke again for the second time.

I feel for ya on the delete and undelete operations... But, this is what I've had to do just to pass SMOG! That's why I just do the minimal deleting... Anyway, you are very lucky though to get this fix and "upgrade" on someone else's nickel though.
