Soot, Does it hurt the engine??

I think Dodgezilla has been smoking the soot he scraped out of his EGR valve to think I would want a 6.7 over my 5.9 Attachment 24129

Hmmm, well I did blow the intake and engine port out before I put the intake back on and I looked like a chimney sweep when I was done. Maybe that soot is good for something afterall.........

2008, 6.7, 4X4, 6 Speed Manual
I have done the EGR Delete, including cutting the EGR crossover pipe, and TIG welding the ends to make caps.
Installed BADP Gen 1 on the EGT wiring, Installed 5” SS Straight Pipe (Turbo Back), and Edge Juice, with Attitude, with it’s EGT probe.
All is good now, and I get an average of 20 to 21 MPG on back roads, and town.
I am having one problem, my Turbo has been hanging a little, this started before I did anything. I just talked to my Dodge Dealer (he knows what I have done) and he is ordering a new Turbo, to be installed under warranty.
Caution: If you set the Juice to Extreme, it will slip the clutch in 5th gear.

Well, I'm gonna do my part to help the environment. I finally found someone selling a 5.9 CAT that understands the true value of it. Hopefully I'll have it by next weekend and I'll get it installed and make this thing sound a bit better. I really don't care too much for the current sound even though it's better than the stock system which makes no sound at all. I thought about putting my stock DP w/ Cat back on but the 5.9 CAT is much larger so I won't have to worry too much about clogging it up. I'll report my results once it's on.....

Yes, I provide services in many ways to the environment and its inhabitants. I block out the sun to protect people from skin cancer and also provide shade for mushrooms to flourish.
