Smarty JR question

Truck is back in the shop once again for third or forth turbo an four sensors all emission related. I'm going to order the Smarty jr. what i need to know is what all does it do thru the programmer only? Does it do the deletes thru the programmer or do i have to buy block off plates that I've seen in some pics. posted. I hope this will end all the problems I'm having with the truck, it's costing to much to operate from the 2 1/2 years from new. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at this thread. It should clear a bunch of stuff up for you.

Everything that is described in the thread can be done with the Jr.

That's the thread i looked at great pics by the way. This was my concern seeing the plugs in the pipe facing forward. Do i need to buy these?

I assume you mean the blocker plug that is in the crossover tube.

No its not nessecary unless you really want to remove it. You can leave the crossover tube in place.

If you do remove the crossover tube, then you might as well remove the cooler too, and then no, no need for the plug in that case either.

If you remove the cooler, you must purchase the EGR Cooler delete.

The "ME" program is the Middle Eastern Market tune. They have no emisions compliance so that tune is designed to override the Bluetec system.

Look here to download the program to update the Smarty and for the ME program itself.

http://www.madselectronics.com/DownloadJ67ME.html

You will want to have all of the deletes in place before you program it.

Get your Jr. all set-up with the latest ME program now while you're waiting for hardware. Like Blake said, install the hardware then load your Jr. up.

Hopefully, your Jr. update goes smooth for you.
