Runaway Truck ...newbie Needs Help
If the torque converter were locked up then it would probably make the motor die when you come to a stop and hold with the brakes. Like not pushing in the clutch... Something else could be wrong with the torque converter though and it is acting "sticky" and your computer on the truck is stepping it up to keep it from dying.
What do the RPM's do when you shift from drive to nuetral? Do they shoot up a bit and then down to 750? As in, the computer/motor is stepping it up due to some converter load and when you shift out of gear, you get a momentary bump in RPM and then down to normal when in nuetral.

i was wondering if the solenoid valve that controls the lockup on the torque converter could be defective, sticking, clogged, etc causing a small amount of hydraulic pressure to partially engage the torque converter clutch but not all the way.therefore making the vehicle want to creep. does this sound logical to anybody and has anyone ever experienced this???? thanks
I have the same problem every so often it just want's to take off. Or have a very slow start on drive then it kicks inn back to normal speed. I haven't had any tranny work done on mine and it has 33000 miles on it. I did the code search on the dash. And the board say's done and I get no code's. Yeap no codes ? ? ? ?
