RKE Remote keyless entry.

Man, these keys are starting to bother me. I have 2 keys and I have times where I like to leave the truck run in the winter for warmup. If I start with one set of keys, the other ones may or may not work to lock and unlock the truck. I have switched between which one starts and which one is in the pocket, but it doesn't seem to matter.

Can you re-program the keys or is this some other kind of glitch?

I also hate that I can't unlock the truck with just the key in the door without the alarm going nutz. My 02 town and country minivan can unlock and disarm with just the door key and it has the sentry system too.

Help????

The remote is not supposed to work at all with the key in the run position.

And if the truck is locked with the remote it will set the alarm if opened with a door key. It is a security feature.

Ah.. I don't like it.. My minivan (dodge) has a clip on the key and I start the van and take the remote with me to lock up with.

I digress, sucks to have to get remote start just to have the truck run secured for warmup.

Having remote start is way cool though don't you think? I'd like to have it...
